Poesia visuale

Queste pagine ospitano i miei lavori di poesia visiva, dall'inizio degli anni ottanta in poi, quando componevo frasi e parole scritte su cartoni, sui quali  stendevo i colori che le assecondavano, in un tipo di comunicazione che guardava sia ai manifesti pubblicitari sia alle  esperienze delle contemporanee poetiche visuali. Col tempo mi sono poi orientato verso composizioni più rigide, ma ugualmente liriche nella forma e nella stesura, derivate dal mondo delle arti visive più che da quello delle lettere. In particolar modo guardavo all'arte concettuale, a quelle composizioni che comunque facessero dell'impianto visivo non un semplice e anonimo supporto a qualche scritta o parola, ma il loro elemento fondante, dove lo spazio accettava e si concludeva nella parola.

Visual Poetry

This page houses my first work of visual poetry. At the beginning of the eighties I began to write phrases and words on paper and paperboard, on which then I applied the colors. A kind of artistic communication that looked at both  advertising poster both international experiences of concrete and visual poetry. After some time I overlooked compositions derived from the world of visual arts rather than from that of letters. Specifically I watched the conceptual art and those compositions pernickety to the relationship between words and space, between the sign and color. An expression of art where all its components, visual and written, were equally participating in the composition of final message.
